Dr. ELon Jeffy
Elon Jeffy, M.D. is board certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, but specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Jeffy was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, for his undergraduate education, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. Dr. Jeffy completed his medical education at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, graduating with honors as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).
Following his graduation from medical school, he entered his post-graduate medical training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he completed a triple-board program, in which resident physicians spend five years in an integrated training program focused on pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. At the conclusion of the training, residents become board-eligible in all three disciplines. Through this unique program, graduates apply a developmentally informed, biopsychosocial approach to their work in health, illness, and prevention. Triple-board training transcends the traditional boundaries between pediatrics and psychiatry to allow graduates to optimize the medical care of children, adults, and families.
After completing residency in 2008, Dr. Jeffy returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Jeffy has extensive experience treating psychiatric disorders in individuals of all ages. He practices with an understanding of the complexity involved in treating both mental illness/behavioral issues and the unique dynamics involved in treating the child and adolescent population.
